This year has been a rollercoaster of trial and error in regard to technology. The high school where I work went fully 1-to-1 for the 2016-2017 school year with MacBook Airs. It has been a fun and challenging transition to figure out what works and what doesn’t work.

Here are some of my favorite websites and apps, in no particular order! (Read the captions for details)

download
Apple’s Mail app- this is where I keep my school email organized and separate from my personal email accounts. It’s nice to have a dedicated app for email, instead of 1 of 843,588 tabs open in Chrome! 😂
chrome
I know it’s kind of blasphemy to not use Safari, but I’m far more familiar with Chrome!
schoology
There’s a lot of controversy about Learning Management Systems (LMS), but I’m here to tell you that Schoology is the way to go if you’re Type A and overly organized like I am!

NoRedInk is an amazing grammar practice tool! I demo-ed the free version at the end of last year, and now my school has premium! I love it!!
common lit
I just started using CommonLit this week, but I’m already loving it as a non-fiction text resource. Texts are organized by theme, and have really great text-dependent questions that make kids THINK!

If you have any questions about any of the resources listed here, please feel free to drop a comment below! Happy almost-end-of-the-school-year fellow teachers!!! 😊 🎉
