Day four began back at the Mercy Center in Tauron Arena. Cardinal Dolan from New York gave the keynote address and was the main celebrant at Mass. There was also a sister from St. Faustina’s order who talked about mercy in our world today, and about Auschwitz. Today was the day Pope Francis visited Auschwitz in complete silence.

After Mass, one of the other pilgrims and I made a long trek back into the city center to visit the underground ruins of Medieval Poland! It was a super cool museum that reminded me a lot of L’Almoina in Valencia. I didn’t snag any pictures, but trust me, it was cool!

A looooong walk later we went out to Blonia Park where Pope Francis led the stations of the cross. It was a beautiful evening, and spirits were very high to be celebrating with the Pope!

Once we got back to the hostel, I spent some quality time telling stories and laughing with a couple other pilgrims over gelato. It was super fun to get to know a couple people better in a smaller group setting 🙂
