This is it friends, departure day. It seems wholly unreal that 1 year ago I committed to a pilgrimage to Poland… I am looking forward to so many parts of this pilgrimage: Krakow, Warsaw, Catholic youth from all around the world, another culture, another language, meeting new people, getting to know people I’ve already met, and so much more!

I am also nervous about traveling while our world is in the state that it is. I mean, who wouldn’t be, right? But I will not let fear become the dictator of my future. I refuse to let the actions of few affect my perception of many. I believe with every fiber of my being that people are, at their core, good. I know from living in different countries that people of all races, nationalities, and religions have more in common than we think. I will endeavor to hope that kindness will overcome all else.

On this day, and all days, I would appreciate your prayers for safety, patience, openness, and gratitude. I recognize the beautiful blessing I am about to encounter, and I can hardly wait to share it with all of you! Huge thanks you’s to all the people who have supported me along the way through prayers, donations, fundraisers, and so much more!! I wouldn’t be leaving today without each and every person’s support ❀
